Prototyping

In this and many other cases testing was key. It took multiple series of prototyping for both our designers and workshop wizards to collect all lessons learned into a final, innovative solution. Trial and error, using different materials and approaches, allowed our team to truly capture the finesse needed in such a high level immersive experience.

Adjustable moods and sequences

The installation’s entire base frame consists of a complex 3-dimensional structure, topped off with anodized aluminum sheets. The use of faceted shapes obviously refers to the diamonds being processed by HB Antwerp. The integrated COB led lines in the ribs highlight the splendor and brilliance of these very versatile and fascinating stones. These lights, with a total length of over 200 meters, have a color temperature of 2700 degrees Kelvin, ensuring a warm and sensual radiation of light reflecting in the panels.

Each and every triangle in the installation can be controlled separately, allowing the atmosphere to be adjusted as wished. We developed a custom software app to allow our client to evoke the desired mood using nothing but their own tablet and a standard wifi connection. Settings vary from sober, subtle waves and glowing to more intense and hyper light sequences. On top of that we integrated HB Antwerp’s logo in the walls and added subtle backlighting for branding purposes.The end result is a fascinating yet complex combination of shape, design and technology.
