Bruges' past, present and future

After three years of renovation works, the Provincial Palace in Bruges was reopened to the public with a 10 day festival, celebrating the past and the future. On the closing night, we created a 20 minute video projection mapping across the façade of the Palace, stretching 38 meters.
The Provincial Palace is an extraordinary heritage site that is now open to everyone. The video mapping needed to showcase this, which is why we worked around the concept of a swarm of people or particles flowing around and inside the building. At the same time, a concert between Dionysos Now! and Tsar B at the entrance of the building highlighted the connection between the past and the future. The mapping was programmed in sync with the concert, creating a true spectacle of light and sound.
