For the launch of Decospan’s new product line "Infinite Wood" Fast Forward Events teamed up with Fisheye to help produce another unforgettable experience. Decospan, European market leader in wood veneer processing, called upon our 2 creative agencies to host distributors, clients, stakeholders & partners and submerge them into a brave new world.

While Fast Forward took care of the full scope of event logistics and communication, team Fisheye conceptualised an entire, highly immersive VR experience room showcasing the endless possibilities of this new type of veneer. As Decospan is always spotting upcoming trends and is continuously focusing on innovation, we wanted to tickle all senses with this exciting story of infinite perfection.

Visitors of the launch event were invited to take a tour of Decospan’s main production site in Belgium, where they got to a behind the scenes look on a big part of the productional process. Main stop on the tour was the experience room where we built a massive monolith showcasing the different styles and colour options for the Infinite Wood series.

As this brand story is all about infinite perfection, we extended this philosophy in our concept creation by producing a surprising and intergalactic setting inside the factory. Customs seating, lighting, starcloth drapes, a detailed monolith displaying the actual product and an ambient soundtrack to submerge visitors into the universe of veneer.

After coming up with the entire concept for this VR experience our Team Digital started designing multiple architectural setups showcasing the diverse possibilities of Infinite Wood. As an intro to the story we completely digitalised the physical space viewers are watching this VR film in. This allowed for a smooth transition between the physical experience and the digital world. As the digital version of the gigantic monolith slowly faded away an entire virtual universe of veneer came to life.

We digitally designed several spaces and locations, matched exciting copywriting with a welcoming voice-over, and finished everything off with an extra submersive soundtrack, leaving viewers excited about the product’s endless possibilities. An elaborate process from concept creation to digital design and technical production all under one roof with a very inspirational result. A surprising activation which was well received by countless visitors.
